CHESS presented at Digital Tools and Cultural Management event

170526 GGEE 1842On 26 May 2017, the Greek Secretariat General of Information and Communication organised an event entitled Digital Tools and Cultural Management. Dr Maria Roussou presented the CHESS project and how the the lessons learned from it inspired its follow-up, the ongoing, funded by Horizon 2020, EMOTIVE project. EMOTIVE is focused on the emotional engagement of visitors of archaeological sites.

Presentation at UCL Knowledge Lab

Dr Maria Roussou presented at the UCL Knowledge Lab, on September 13, 2016. Her presentation, titled "Evaluating users of a personalised storytelling mobile museum experience", discussed the results from a series of evaluation studies carried out with museum visitors using a prototype mobile-based digital "guide" to visit the Acropolis Museum in Athens.

The conference was held April 6-9, 2016 in Los Angeles, CA, USA.

Dr Akrivi Katifori, Dr Sara Perry, Ms Maria Vayanou, Dr Laia Pujol, Dr Angeliki Chrysanthi, Mr Vassilis Kourtis and Prof Yannis Ioannidis continue the CHESS work in the direction of group interaction via storytelling.

CHESS presented at Digital Heritage 2015

Digital Heritage 2015 posterMr. Vassilis Kourtis of the University of Athens presented a poster titled Interactive Experiences in the Stedelijk Museum, A Living Lab Experiment with the CHESS Framework at Digital Heritage 2015, the largest international scientific event on digital heritage, which took place in late September 2015 in Granada, Spain.

The poster was authored by Maria Vayanou, Akrivi Katifori, Vassilis Kourtis, Erna Bomers, Niels de Jong, Manos Karvounis and Yannis Ioannidis.
