The CHESS Augmented Reality activities at the Acropolis Museum were demonstrated, from October 28th to November 1st 2013, at the Digital Heritage expo in Marseille: http://www.digitalheritage2013.org/acropolis-chess/. The exhibition was visited by over 4500 people in 4 days!
Additionally, on Friday, November 1st 2013, the paper "A digital look at physical museum exhibits - Designing personalized Stories with handheld Augmented Reality in Museums" was presented in the Museum & Technology Special Session.
The more general paper, "One object many stories: Introducing ICT in museums and collections through digital storytelling", which mentions CHESS was presented on Tuesday, October 29th 2013 in the Technology and storytelling Session.
Finally, Dr. Maria Roussou, a member of CHESS with the University of Athens, was awarded the prestigious Tartessos award for her contribution to the development of virtual archaeology in the world. The award ceremony was held during the closing of the Digital Heritage 2013 congress.
